Redefining lactation support through my own experience
Breastfeeding and pumping can feel painful, frustrating, and isolating when things don’t go as planned.
When my 32-week preemie was born, I was thrown into a world I didn’t understand. She was whisked away to a level 3 NICU in a different hospital, and I didn't get to see her for a few days. Instead of support, the lactation consultant shamed me.
I tried pumping but didn’t know how to size the pump flanges or use the equipment properly. Mastitis struck three times, and I quit after six painful weeks, feeling like I’d failed my daughter.
When my second baby arrived, I pushed lactation help away. After becoming a Postpartum Nurse, I wanted to give moms a different experience - one full of kindness and understanding.

Hi, I’m Nikki Jones,
RNC-NIC, IBCLC
I became a Postpartum and then NICU nurse and followed an incredible Lactation Consultant who showed me the impact of compassionate care.
I saw how many moms try to solve feeding problems with Google, advice from friends, or pediatricians, but these approaches aren’t tailored to their unique needs.
After 18+ years as a Nurse (two as a postpartum nurse), earning RNC-NIC and IBCLC certifications, and completing over 900 hours of supervised lactation training, I’ve built a practice that puts moms first.
